Patricia Tumarirungu
Intern / UNDP

Working for the UN gives me great satisfaction because I’ve always been incredibly passionate about human rights, and the UN provides me with a great platform to follow this passion.

Chris Mburu
Senior Human Rights Advisor / OHCHR

It is great to assess people’s needs, find a service gap and plan our activities to fill such a gap. We work closely with the government, but we are an independent agency; therefore we have both complementarity and autonomy in decision making. This is the favourite part of my work.

Yves Kaza
Project Officer / IOM

As UNDP Country Director, I deal with activities related poverty reduction, sustainable environmental management, and accountable governance. I also work  closely with many other UN agencies in the country, particularly since Rwanda is a One UN country, which means lots of UN inter-agency interaction.

Auke Lootsma
Country Director / UNDP
